GoEducate’s $500 Weekly Giveaway: Official Rules, Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: January 1, 2025

1. Overview

GoEducate, Inc. (“GoEducate”) hereby establishes the following rules, terms, and conditions (the “Official Rules”) governing its $500 Weekly Giveaway (the “Promotion”). This Promotion is intended to incentivize and reward eligible users who complete and publish a GoEducate GoResume (“GoResume”), in furtherance of GoEducate’s mission to connect individuals with meaningful professional and educational opportunities. These Official Rules ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. These Official Rules do not create any relationship between GoEducate and participants beyond that of a promotional entrant, and no attorney-client, fiduciary, or other special relationship is formed.

2. No Purchase Necessary; Void Where Prohibited

No purchase, payment, or other consideration is necessary to enter or win this Promotion. The Promotion is void where prohibited by law. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that their participation is lawful in their respective jurisdictions. GoEducate makes no representation regarding the legality of participation for individuals located outside permitted areas.

3. Eligibility

(a) Residency: Participation in the Promotion is open solely to legal residents of the United States who are physically located within the United States at the time of entry.

(b) Age Requirements:

  • Entrants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry.
  • Entrants aged thirteen (13) through seventeen (17) may enter provided they have secured verified consent from a parent or legal guardian. By entering under this provision, the entrant represents and warrants that such parental or guardian consent has been duly obtained.
  • Individuals under thirteen (13) years of age are strictly prohibited from entering the Promotion.

(c) Ineligible Parties: Employees, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, officers, directors, and immediate family members (including spouse, parents, siblings, and children, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) of GoEducate or its promotional partners are not eligible to participate.

(d) Equal Opportunity Statement: GoEducate values diversity and inclusivity. All eligible entries are treated impartially and selected at random, without regard to race, gender, or any other protected characteristic.

4. Compliance with Laws

This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

5. How to Enter

(a) Entry Requirements: To enter, participants must create and complete a GoResume on the GoEducate platform, including the following sections:

  • Professional Summary
  • Education
  • Skills

Participants must thereafter publish their completed GoResume to the GoEducate Talent Hub, which simultaneously publishes their GoEducate profile.

(b) Affirmation of Terms: During the publishing process, entrants must affirmatively opt into the Promotion by selecting the designated checkbox indicating acceptance of these Official Rules. By doing so, participants expressly agree to be bound by these Official Rules.

(c) Profile Accuracy: Entrants must ensure that all information contained in their GoResume is accurate, current, and bona fide. Entries found to be inaccurate, fraudulent, or otherwise noncompliant may be disqualified at GoEducate’s sole discretion.

(d) Entry Limitations: Only one (1) entry per unique, legitimate GoResume and per unique, personal GoEducate account is permitted. Once submitted and verified, the entry remains in the candidate pool for all subsequent weekly drawings throughout the Promotion Period, unless and until the participant revokes profile visibility.

6. Promotion Period

The Promotion commences on January 6, 2025, and concludes on February 10, 2025 (the “Promotion Period”). Weekly prize drawings will occur each Friday evening during the Promotion Period, and winners will be notified on the following Tuesday by email, using the email address associated with the entrant’s GoEducate profile.

GoEducate reserves the right, in its sole discretion and at any time, to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion, with or without prior notice. Any modifications will be effective immediately upon posting such changes to GoEducate’s website or other designated platforms.

7. Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.

8. Prize Details

(a) Prize: For each weekly drawing, one (1) eligible entrant will be selected at random to receive a $500 Visa® Gift Card (the “Prize”). The Prize is neither transferable nor refundable and may not be redeemed for cash or substituted, except at GoEducate’s sole discretion.
(b) Prize Delivery: The Prize will be delivered electronically via the email address on file with GoEducate or by a mutually agreed-upon delivery method.
(c) Taxes: All federal, state, and local taxes, if any, resulting from the awarding of the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

9. Third-Party Brand Disclaimer

Visa® is a registered trademark of Visa International Service Association. Visa is not a sponsor of, nor affiliated with, this Promotion. Any references to the Prize are for identification purposes only.

10. Winner Notification

(a) Notification Procedure: Winners will be notified via the email address associated with their GoEducate profile.

(b) Response Deadline: If a potential winner fails to respond to the initial notification within seven (7) calendar days, the Prize is deemed forfeited. In such instances, GoEducate reserves the right to conduct a secondary random drawing to select an alternate winner. GoEducate will make two (2) attempts to contact each initially selected winner.

11. Additional Entry Limitations

Each participant may win only once during the entire Promotion Period, regardless of the number of times the participant updates or re-submits their GoResume.

12. Responsibility for Information Provided

(a) Accuracy of Data: Entrants are solely responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of information included in their GoResume/Profile. By publishing such information, entrants represent and warrant that it is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge.

(b) Cognizance of Profile Content: Entrants are advised to thoroughly review their GoResume/Profile to ensure that all published information is suitable for public visibility. At this time, no selective toggles exist to hide certain fields or information. If entrants do not wish certain details to be visible to verified employers and educational partners, they must remove those details prior to publishing. Future platform updates may allow for greater customization, but until then, the entrant is responsible for controlling the content they share.

(c) Liability: GoEducate shall not be liable for any consequences resulting from inaccuracies, omissions, misrepresentations, or the disclosure of information participants include in their GoResume/Profile. Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold GoEducate harmless from any claims arising out of or related to such content.

13. No Employment Guarantee

Publication of a GoResume/Profile on the GoEducate Talent Hub does not constitute a guarantee of employment, internship opportunities, or other engagements. GoEducate’s role is limited to facilitating connections with verified employers and educational partners; all hiring and admissions decisions are made solely at the discretion of such third parties.

14. Communications from Employers

By publishing a GoResume/Profile, participants consent to being contacted directly by verified employers and educational partners. GoEducate does not control or monitor such communications and bears no responsibility for outcomes or agreements arising therefrom. Participants are advised to exercise independent judgment when engaging with third parties.

15. Revocation of Profile Visibility

(a) Right to Revoke: Participants may revoke employer access to their GoResume/Profile at any time by adjusting the “Employers Can Find Me” visibility setting within their GoEducate account.

(b) Effect of Revocation: Following revocation, the participant’s profile will no longer be visible to employers or educational partners. GoEducate will not maintain employer access to any previously visible profile or resume data within its platform.

16. Data Use After Revocation

Once a profile or related data has been accessed, downloaded, or stored by third parties, GoEducate is not responsible for such parties’ retention, usage, or distribution of the data. Although GoEducate requires verified employers and partners to comply with stringent data usage and privacy standards, enforcement cannot be guaranteed with respect to data retained outside the platform. Participants are encouraged to carefully review their profiles for accuracy and completeness before publication.

17. Transparency About Risks

By publishing a GoResume/Profile, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with making their information visible to third parties, including potential unauthorized data retention or use. While GoEducate endeavors to verify employer and partner compliance, it assumes no liability for any actions taken by third parties after accessing participant data. Entrants should carefully curate their profiles before publishing and remove any information they do not wish to share publicly, as no selective visibility toggles currently exist.

18. Data Privacy Laws and User Rights

GoEducate respects all applicable data privacy laws. Participants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting: contactus@goeducate.com. Such requests apply only to data stored within GoEducate’s systems and do not extend to data previously accessed, downloaded, or otherwise stored by third parties.

19. Employer Agreements and Enforcement

Employers and educational partners agree to:

(a) Use user data solely for bona fide recruitment, educational, or career development activities;

(b) Refrain from sharing, selling, or misusing user data; and

(c) Comply with all applicable laws and platform rules.

Noncompliance may result in immediate suspension or termination of platform privileges and may subject violators to legal action. These rules do not create any endorsement or special relationship between GoEducate and these third parties.

20. Privacy Notice

By participating in this Promotion, entrants consent to the collection, use, and processing of their personal information by GoEducate as described in these Official Rules and in accordance with GoEducate’s Privacy Policy. Winners may be required to provide additional information for eligibility verification and prize fulfillment. Entrants further acknowledge and agree that by entering the Promotion, they consent to sharing their profile data with verified employers and educational partners on the GoEducate Talent Hub. GoEducate’s reference to third-party employers or educational partners does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or any ongoing relationship beyond the scope of this Promotion.

21. Publicity Release

By accepting the Prize, winners grant GoEducate a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable license to use their name, image, and likeness for promotional purposes related to the Promotion, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Winners may decline such publicity by notifying GoEducate in writing at the time of prize acceptance. Refusal of publicity shall not affect prize eligibility or delivery, and GoEducate reserves the right, but not the obligation, to publicize winners.

22. Dispute Resolution and Liability Waiver

(a) Governing Law and Venue: These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. All disputes shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in Round Rock, Texas, under the Federal Arbitration Act and in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. Participants waive any right to commence or participate in any class, collective, or representative action against GoEducate.

(b) Release of Liability: By participating, entrants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless GoEducate, its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, causes of action, and costs arising out of or related to participation in the Promotion, the use or acceptance of any Prize, or any disputes related thereto, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Official Rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

24. Force Majeure

GoEducate shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, governmental actions, pandemics, technical failures, or similar circumstances. In such an event, GoEducate reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion and may substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value.

26. Acceptance of Official Rules

By entering the Promotion, each participant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all decisions of GoEducate, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Nothing in these Official Rules shall be construed to create any partnership, joint venture, employment, or other legal relationship beyond that of a promotional entrant.
